Ces boules devraient permettre à l'eau de ruisseler sans les abîmer.</p> <p>Les travaux se poursuivent :</p> <p>Les ex votos sont enlevés . La vierge est protégée.<br class='autobr' /> Le sable est versé dans la sableuse aérogommeuse.<br class='autobr' /> Chaque partie de la grille est nettoyée de sa peinture grâce à ce travail à haute pression. Des planches de bois sont déposées autour du socle de la statue pour les protéger des projections de sable.</p> <p>Enfin, la grille retrouve son aspect d'origine et est prête pour la mise en peinture.</p> <p>L'artisane de l'Atelier de Dorure de Pézenas est venue terminer le décapage de la Vierge. Elle a également réparé le trou qui était au dos de la Vierge, ainsi que l'arcade sourcillière de l'oeil gauche.
